Summer Sampler at Sauce Pizza & Wine

Summer means longer days, warmer weather, and the return of Sauce Pizza + Wine’s Summer Sampler.

Available June 1 through August 31 at all Valley Sauce locations, guests can choose one salad (under $8), one pizza (under $10), and two glasses of wine (under $6) for $20. There’s no better way to escape the heat than spending the afternoon enjoying a deal of a meal for two. Best of all, the refreshing Seasonal Watermelon Salad ($8) is back by popular demand, allowing guests to indulge in the flavors of summer with watermelon, feta cheese, jicama batons in a blend of arugula and spinach, all tossed in a white balsamic vinaigrette. Sauce Pizza + Wine’s Locations: http://www.saucepizzaandwine.com/#locations

Ingredients:
5 oz of watermelon, 1” x 1” cubed             
1 tbsp Red Onion, julienned                        
2 oz Jicama Batons, 1 ½” x 1/4”                 
3 oz Spinach & Arugula Blend (50/50)      
3 tbsp White Balsamic Vinaigrette                
2 tbsp Feta Cheese                               
1 tbsp Roasted Pumpkin Seeds (Salted)        

Instructions:
1.        Combine watermelon, jicama, red onion, spinach & arugula blend, and vinaigrette in a mixing bowl. Gently toss to combine everything well.
2.        Garnish salad with crumbled feta and pumpkin seeds.
