Rare Wine Week at J&G Steakhouse with Rochioli Winery

J&G.jpg

Hosted every October, January and May, J&G's Rare Wine Week lets wine-loving guests upgrade J&G's traditional Tasting Menu plus wine pairings (normally $67), to feature exceedingly rare wines from deep within J&G's Wine Spectator-awarded wine cellar. Offered nightly for $150++ p.p., J&G's Executive Chef Jacques Qualin has crafted a gourmet 5-course feast, while GM, Patrick Norton, and Assistant GM and Certified Specialist of Wine, Taylor Chandler, have selected the finest Rochioli wines to pair with each course. Cost: $150 per person. Reservations are highly recommended: 480.214.8000 or www.jgsteakhousescottsdale.com.

Rochioli Vineyards and Winery has been growing grapes in the Russian River Valley of Northern California since the late 1950's. The first estate wine, 1985 Rochioli Pinot Noir, was released in 1987 and was an immediate success by being named Wine Spectator's "The Best Pinot Noir in America" that year. Wine pairings for this exclusive dinner will feature:

  • 2016 Sauvignon Blanc, Russian River Valley, California

  • 2005 Chardonnay, Russian River Valley, California

  • 2011 Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley, California

  • 2006 Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley, California

  • 2009 Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley, California
