Celebrate Mac 'n Cheese Day at Social Tap Eatery and The Lodge

America’s favorite comfort food deserves its own day and the day devoted to macaroni goodness is quickly approaching. National Macaroni Day is July 14, so consider these local favorites, in the Phoenix metro area, a hearty dish that is suitable for all ages.

Social Tap Eatery has Mac N’ Cheese that is pleasing to the eye and the stomach. Build-Your-Own Mac N' Cheese ($10) at Social Tap Eatery is made with American and cheddar cheese and savory protein mix-ins such as BBQ pulled pork, shrimp, filet mignon and short rib ($3 each) can be added and to top it off, green hatch chilies or bacon ($1.50) add extra flavor. Social Tap Eatery is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Social Tap Eatery is located at 4312 N. Brown Ave., Scottsdale. The Lodge

The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen | Downtown Tempe

The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen by Chef Aaron May makes a five-cheese sauce made with muenster, cheddar, American, Swiss, and pepper jack cheese that is smothered on the Mac N’ Cheese dish that is large enough to satisfy a sasquatch. The Mac N’ Cheese ($7.99) is topped with a Cheeto and Doritos crust. Protein additions include bacon, chicken, bratwurst or green chili pork for $3 each. The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. The Lodge is located at 26 S. Farmer Ave., Tempe.
