The Hispanic Heritage Weekend will be held Friday, Aug. 12, to Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016. Guests booking over the weekend will be greeted upon arrival with aguas frescas and seasonal chilled horchata drinks, and will be treated to a specialty welcome amenity including freshly made tortilla chips with Chef Mel’s private label salsa and hibiscus cooler.
A complimentary mezcal tasting with beverage expert Nick Padua will kick off the weekend festivities in Onyx Bar & Lounge on Friday at 5 p.m.
A specialty dinner will be featured that evening in Proof, an American Canteen, where their “Summertime Smokehouse” series will get a Hispanic makeover featuring house-smoked green-chile pork, mezcal cocktails and a local Spanish guitarist. The Proof smokehouse dinner special will be offered for $28.
