Scottsdale Culinary Festival: Barrel + Board
Perch Brewery pairings included bruleed pear and gouda crostini with Pinot Noir Barrel Aged Ginger Mofo, and The Scottsdale Beer Company served house-made Cajun Sausage rolls with peppers and onions paired with Texas Tea Double Chocolate Imperial Stout.
Huss Brewing Co teamed up with the Wisconsin Cheese Store for Magic in a Barrel with fennel-braised pork with stone-ground mustard 10-yr Wisconsin cheddar and Scottsdale Blonde paired with tandoori chicken with roasted garlic hummus and blue cheese. Santan Brewing Company's Sex Panther was poured with chipotle bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese.
Craft 64 had their Smoooove Hoperator IPA and Bonkers Double IPA with Yancey's Fancey's cheeses, Fate Brewing poured South Orangedale Sour and Pueblo Vienna, and OHSO's Lost Viking Baltic Porter was paired with brisket mac 'n cheese.
Guests could also sample whiskeys, including local distilleries OHSO and Hamilton.
The crowd was entertained with a performance by Tom Kumagai, cooking with Whole Foods' Misty McHone, and a distillation demo by OHSO distiller Greg Arias.
