It was the Chardonnay that Miljenko "Mike" Grgich crafted for Chateau Montelena that won the famous Judgment of Paris Tasting in 1976. This momentous verdict, where two Napa Valley wines took first place in a blind tasting beating the best of France, placed Napa Valley on the global wine map and, thus, set the bar for Chardonnay in Napa Valley. Mike Grgich, along with Austin Hills, opened Grgich Hills Estate the following year, and will celebrate the winery's 40th anniversary next July.
The event takes place Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 5:30 pm. Space is limited! Please call (602) 840-3610 for reservations.
